Aldar Scale Up is a unique, equity-free, global accelerator developed alongside strategic partner Majid Al Futtaim Communities and in partnership with startAD, an Abu Dhabi-based global startup accelerator, that focusses on furthering groundbreaking innovation in tech. The intensive 4 week accelerator provided global startups with a gateway to tangible growth opportunities, mentoring, and curated training sessions.
The first edition of Scale Up saw 9 startups participating from 8 countries with solutions in digital twinning, smart sensors and analytics. We are thrilled to announce that LlamaZOO are one of 5 startups to secure a paid pilot with Aldar. The inaugural edition of the programme ran virtually over a four-month period, at the end of which ten startups had the opportunity to pitch to a selection committee, with up to five startups being awarded pilot projects with Aldar. Selected startups provide innovative and sustainable solutions in the real estate sector such as effective energy management, the development of smart cities, and the protection of biodiverse ecosystems. Opportunities to secure pilot projects with other UAE companies will be available for entrepreneurial ventures during the pitching process.
The five selected businesses specialize in the rapidly evolving technologies of spatial and artificial intelligence, blockchain, NFT applications and data analytics, and align with the UAE’s smart and sustainable cities ambitions, as shift to Web 3.0 accelerates globally.
